The tracks in question are:
DIMDJ #4 track 12: Dub Fever, King Tubby, riddim: Bad Boy
DIMDJ #6 track 13: Conference, Sly & Robbie, riddim: Don't Shoot Gunman
These tracks are indeed very similar so why are they both here? There's a fun and interesting back story to all this and we would like to share it.
The original recording session was made by Sly & Robbie and Sly was wearing his trademark red helmet. When the track was finished Sly pulled up his white helmet and asked everyone "Should we make another cut when I use the white helmet?".
Sly & Robbie released the first version (a k a the red helmet version) in their own name and the second version (aka the white helmet version) was handed over to King Tubby as a gift.
We thought it would be highly interesting to present both version even tho they are a bit similar.
So you see there is always a natural explanation.
In conclusion.
No errors made.
White helmet. Red helmet.
